ABOUT CRITICAL DISTANCE
Critical Distance Centre for Curators is a not-for-profit gallery, publisher, and professional network devoted to the advancement of curatorial inquiry in Toronto and beyond. With a focus on critically-engaged, collaborative, and cross-disciplinary practices, underrepresented perspectives and curatorial approaches, and wider public outreach and education on curating and exhibition-making, Critical Distance is an open platform for diverse curatorial perspectives, and a forum for ideas on curating as a way to foster meaningful connections between people across cultures, disciplines, geographies, and generations.

Through our publications-based programs, Critical Distance seeks to connect publishers from across Canada and the world with Toronto-based publics and colleagues interested in critical, artful, affordable, and unusual art books, publications, and editions. Subscribe to our newsletter, follow us on Instagram, or visit our website for more information on our publishing-related activities, past, present, and future, including new additions to our Curators Library, e-Shop, and expanded publications-based programs coming soon.
