Žana Kozomora

Žana Kozomora works across curatorial and visual arts practice. She has curated exhibitions with Cambridge Art Galleries and Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery, and sits on the Program Committee and Board of CAFKA (Contemporary Art Forum Kitchener + Area). She has completed studio residencies with the Dundas Valley School of Art and Centre[3] in Hamilton, Ontario, and exhibited her work with Open Sesame, Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery, Xpace Cultural Centre, and Factory Media Centre. Her writing has been published in ASAP/Journal and C Magazine. Born in Sarajevo, BiH and arriving in Canada as a refugee, she grew up in Kitchener, Ontario, the traditional lands of the Attawandaron (Neutral), Anishnaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. She is currently based in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area and is completing her Master of Visual Studies – Curatorial Studies at the University of Toronto. Her forthcoming thesis exhibition is entitled A scaffold with, against opening at the University of Toronto Art Museum in the spring of 2022. zanakozomora.ca
