C Magazine

C Magazine is a critical art periodical that highlights meaningful and urgent perspectives on contemporary art, including its contexts and power structures. We centre artists and writers, embrace flexible and expansive print design, and release the fidelity to genre.

Established in 1983 by artists, C Magazine continues to publish emerging and established contributors through original essays, artist projects, reviews, creative criticism, and experiments in form. We aim to support historically under-published voices in the arts and collective imagination beyond what has been shaped by capital, colonialism, and empire. We publish three print issues per year and run two writing awards, among other programs and partnerships.
