Sarah Comfort

Sarah Comfort is an artist based in Toronto, ON. Her work explores the relationship between images and their material forms, often using photographic media in combination with other processes including printmaking, drawing, textiles and collage.

Sarah has an MFA in Studio Art from Concordia University and undergraduate degrees in Studio Art and Art History from Emily Carr University and York University. Studio residencies at the Banff Centre, Banff AB; Atlantic Center for the Arts, New Smyrna Beach, FL; Vermont Studio Center, Johnson, VT; Women’s Studio Workshop, Rosendale, NY; MASS MoCA/Maker’s Mill, North Adams MA; Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography, Toronto, ON. Recent exhibitions at Trestle Gallery, Brooklyn, NY; Form and Concept, Sant Fe, NM; Collar Works, Troy, NY; Gallery 44 Member’s Gallery, Toronto, ON.
