Nadège Grebmeier Forget

Engaged in Montreal’s visual and live arts community since 2007, performance artist Nadège Grebmeier Forget embraces interdisciplinarity and curation in her practice. She is the first daughter of a runner-up 1960’s California Beauty Queen and has, among other things: enacted works for Karl Lemieux (The Seven Last Words, 2018), Teresa Margolles (La Promesa, 2017), Dana Michel (Balls, 2016), Olivia Boudreau (Standing Bodies, Lying Bodies, 2014), Christiof Migone (Hite Parade, 2008); collaborated with Henrike Iglesias (Sophiensale/OFFTA, 2016), PME-ART (Festival actOral/Leonard & Bina Ellen Gallery, 2014) in addition to participating in numerous events, festivals, panels, residencies and exhibitions in Canada (Québec, Ontario, Alberta, Newfoundland, PEI), the USA (Texas) and Europe (France, Germany, Romania).Find out more

Jens Haaning

Jens Haaning was born in 1965 in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he continues to live and work. Haaning’s practice engages with the politics of distribution and visibility that govern social behavior and safeguard class divisions. Through a calculated process of exchange, Haaning’s works bring to light the economies and forms of co-existence that result from the circulation of goods and the migration of peoples.Find out more

Jeannette Ehlers

Jeannette Ehlers’s work is characterized by its experimental nature. Often using image manipulation in her photographic and video-based works, she explores identity and meaning within these changeable terms, in both subtle and immediate ways. Inspired by her own Danish/Caribbean background, she has created cinematic universes that delve into ethnicity and identity, conveying imaginative stories in a visual language that is sharp yet engaging. Her works revolve around big questions and difficult issues, such as Denmark’s role as a slave trading nation, an aspect of Danish cultural heritage that is often glossed over in the country’s historiography.Find out more

Marianna Milhorat

Marianna Milhorat (b. 1983) is a Chicago-based filmmaker, originating from Vermont, USA. She received her MFA from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2012 and BFA from the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinéma at Concordia University in 2007. Working in film and video, she utilizes landscape and duration to disrupt and transform notions of space and perspective. Milhorat’s work has screened internationally at festivals, including the International Film Festival Rotterdam, the Ann Arbor Film Festival, and the Images Festival. Her work has received awards at festivals including the Images Festival, EXIS (Ex-Now), and the Chicago Underground Film FestivalFind out more
