Yael Brotman was born in Israel, her earliest years spent on a kibbutz. She arrived in Winnipeg as a child and eventually studied Honours English followed by Fine Arts at the University of Manitoba. She moved to Toronto after traveling in Europe for a year. Brotman received a Master of Visual Studies from the University of Toronto. Her drawings, prints and paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in public galleries, museums, commercial galleries and artist-run centres across Canada, and in the US, Peru, Ireland, Bulgaria and China.Find out more
